FAQ » Using MOBIVOX

Q: Dialpad Buttons – what the roles of the * and # keys?

'#' key:

  • Pressing the '#' key at the end of your number or name accelerates the dialing of a number or name.
  • It can also be used in the main menu, when no other key has yet been pressed, to switch from voice command to the touch-tone dialing mode and vice versa.

'##' key:

  • When on a call, this serves as a toggle to enable/disable the pass-thru of dialpad touch-tone buttons
  • This is needed when dialing your voice mail system or a conferencing system.
  • When enabled, all dialpad touch-tones are sent to the destination. You cannot invoke MOBIVOX Voice Assistant when in this mode.
  • You must press ## again to disable pass-thru in order to invoke MOBIVOX Voice Assistant.

'*' key:

  • When in any sub-menu, pressing the '*' key will bring you back to the main menu.
  • When in a conversation, pressing the '*' key will bring back MOBIVOX Voice Assistant, allowing you to use our advanced features such as Instant Conferencing or Call Transfer. To resume your conversation, press the '*' key.
  • Press “*” key followed by "Hang Up" (in Voice Command mode) or the digit "5" (in dialpad mode) to end current call and start a new call
