  • Peter Diedrich | CEO

    Peter Diedrich has over 20 years of operations experience in technology and telecommunications, management consulting and venture capital. Peter has played key leadership roles at a number of notable firms, including Bell-Northern Research, Nortel Networks, McKinsey & Company, Bell Canada Enterprises, RBC Royal Bank Financial Group, and Skypoint Capital. From 2006 to 2008, Peter was President and CEO of TBayTel, the largest independently owned full service telecommunications carrier in Canada, where he developed a new strategic growth blueprint and led financial and operational performance turnarounds. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University and a Master of Science in Management from the MIT Alfred P. Sloan School of Management. He is a graduate of the Directors Education Program (DEP) at the Institute of Corporate Directors (www.ICD.ca). Peter is a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

  • Eric Reiher | Founder and CTO

    Eric Reiher has spent the last 15 years contributing his vision to several leading-edge Research and Development projects. Since 2002, he has devoted himself to the development of MOBIVOX core technology. Prior to that, Eric acquired in-depth telecom and automatic speech recognition experience at Locus Dialogue, a fast-growing high-tech company that was ultimately acquired by Scansoft. Eric started his career at the Centre de Recherche Informatique de Montréal (CRIM), where he rapidly became a project leader and led various projects to completion, including an advanced image analysis mandate. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Université de Montréal, which he obtained in 1990 after earning a BA in Computer Science, with a minor in mathematics, from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1988.

  • Frédéric Bénard | Director of R&D

    Frédéric has extensive management, engineering and R&D experience in the high-tech and software sectors. Currently he directs the research and development of MOBIVOX technologies, including VoIP infrastructure, voice application, speech recognition software, Web platform and developer API.

    Before joining MOBIVOX, Frédéric held several positions with telecom equipment provider Motorola Canada. As engineering manager, he was responsible for a group of 50 software professionals and oversaw the development of projects involving embedded network infrastructure software, open source infrastructure, Linux kernel development and security features for mobile devices. He also served as project manager with the Motorola Canada Software Centre.

    He is also a co-founder of JSE Interactive Inc. and its associated Web site, job-search-engine.com, and developer of the world’s first meta-search engine dedicated to finding employment opportunities on the Web. As lead developer for JSE Interactive, he was responsible for all software development activities.

    Earlier in his career, Frédéric was a software developer with Prior (now XWAVE), a software solutions provider for the aerospace and military industries, where he was responsible for all software development related to the RADARSAT Order Desk System, a Web application that was used by customers world-wide to order RADARSAT satellite images.

    Frédéric holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from McGill University, and master’ and doctorate degrees in Physics from the University of Toronto. He served as a research associate with University of Toronto, involved with the real-time, online analysis of data from a particle physics detector. Frédéric also holds a master’s degree in business administration from McGill University.

    He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.

  • Jérôme Arnaud | Director of Operations

    Jérôme has extensive international experience in the fields of products hosting, operations management, and voice response.

    Most recently, Jérôme was director of R&D for the North American subsidiary of Prosodie, Prosodie Interactive, which develops and hosts telecom solutions, such as interactive voice response (IVR), alerting, mass dialing and E-commerce applications.

    Prior to this position, Jérôme was operations, security and continuity manager for Orange Business Services, the France-Télécom subsidiary that specializes in developing and hosting IVR and new media applications.

    His accomplishments include the design and implementation of a TDM/VoIP hybrid IVR platform integrating multiple speech recognition engines as well as a mass dialer used by AT&T, Pfizer and other large U.S. corporations to perform automated customer surveys.

    Jérôme holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from the University of Limoges/France as well as a degree in software engineering from the University of Bordeaux/France.

    He has been a writer for the French magazine “Programmez!” and has participated in several books (as a writer, technical advisor or translator) including Linux Network Server, Linux Administration, Hacking Exposed, and others.
